The Spanish Fire Department were successful in putting out a structure fire on Monday.
According to the release, around 1:35 pm Monday firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on Beckerton Shooting Range Rd at Grassy Lake.
Once they arrived on scene, they could see the fire had spread into the bush area, and jumped the road across from the structure and was spreading along Grassy Lake.
The Sables Spanish Fire Department assisted, and the Ministry of Natural Resources Forestry also flew a crew in from Sudbury to assist with the fire.
There were no injuries reported; the structure was a total loss, and the cause is under investigation.
