Moose radiothon raises thousands for Elliot Lake food bank

BOB ALEXANDER AT THE MIC — Bob extends a Huge THANK YOU to the live local talent in studio, Debbie French, Elliot Lake's own "Elvis"-Thor, Karen & Corey Doughty, Jim Graham, Alec Latarte and the V.F.J. High School Band. Also the Men of Song who performed in the Pearson Plaza for the cause. To all the local volunteers who help made it happen from the Bucket Brigade on Ontario Avenue stopping traffic for donations. To all the Volunteers who answered the phone lines at Moose F.M.

The Moose 94.1 FM – CKNR in Elliot Lake raised thousands for the local food bank.

The six-hour radiothon held last Friday had plenty of entertainment and support.

And that has resulted in raising $9,500 for the Elliot Lake Food Bank.

Last year, just over 3,300 adults and over a 1,000 children accessed the food bank.
