Police arrested and charged two people with weapons and drug related offences after a replica firearm was discharged.
That’s according to Manitoulin OPP Constable Rob Lewis, who says on Monday morning, officers responded to a firearm being discharged from a motor vehicle towards a residence on Montreal Street, in the Town of Massey.Â
He says police located the vehicle, arrested two occupants, and during a search found an air pistol handgun, cell phones, drug paraphernalia and drugs suspected to be cocaine and opioids.Â
He says a result, the male driver, a 37-year-old, and passenger, a 48-year-old woman, both from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, are facing several charges including assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm and multiple drug-related charges.Â
Both now have Sudbury court dates.Â
