A First Nation on the North Shore will get some much-needed improvements to its ball field.
The Community Health Representative, Chelsea Grimard, says Mississauga first Nation was successful in getting $30,000 from the Field of Dreams Grant through Jays Care Foundation. Grimard adds the fencing will be replaced as the existing fence is no longer safe, and covered dug outs will also be built.
She adds the project will be starting this spring in hopes to be completed before the Little Jays upcoming 2024 season.
