Redeveloping and expanding rail passenger service is the focus for three proponent groups hosting a passenger rail summit in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Northeastern Ontario Rail Network, Coalition for Algoma Passenger Trains and the Committee Promoting Muskoka Rail Travel are partnering to host the summit in mid-April.
Spokesperson Lucille Firth says the purpose of the summit is to provide an opportunity for anyone interested in helping plan how to have modern passenger rail service provided on existing rail beds in Northeastern Ontario.
The all-day summit is set for Thursday, April 19th.
