College Boreal elects their new President

A new President is taking over at College Boreal this September. Daniel Giroux has been named as the college’s fifth president after a vote by the Board of Governors. Giroux will take over for current President Pierre Riopel. He is currently the Vice President of Workforce and Business Development at the college.

Giroux says he is honoured and thrilled to be named Boreal’s fifth President. He calls the staff the college’s biggest asset, and says he looks forward to working with them and the students.

Chair of the Board, Stephan Plante, says Giroux’s experience in post secondary education, budgets, and financial management secured him the spot.
