OPP warning of a new phone and online scam

Advertising Scams are targeting unsuspecting members of the public across North Eastern Ontario. The OPP is warning the public of a scam advising you to put company advertisements on the side of your car in exchange for payment. In some scenarios you will receive a text message saying, place our vinyl ad on your car and earn up to $300 per week.

These scams have many different approaches however the goal is generally the same, to steal your money.
