The goalies for the Blind River Beavers and Elliot Lake Wildcats have both been named NOJHL stars of the week. Al Rogers took second star honours for the Cats by allowing four goals over two games, for a 2.00 goals against average. Beavers net-stopper Matt Blattenburger was the third star. He let in only one goal in the lone game his teammates played against Espanola and won 4-1. The Beavers are trying to catch Espanola for the final playoff spot in the west division and trail the Express by four points.
