Where the two trails meet … a new shelter for snowmobilers

Two snowmobile clubs partnered together on a project to make the trail system more user-friendly.
According to the release, a joint venture between the Spanish River Snowmobile Club and the Espanola & District Snowmobile Club has culminated in the construction of a new shelter that is now trail-ready.
Built on a steel sleigh, it can be moved if needed to best serve riders along the two clubs’ trails.
Officials say the shelter, for now, is located on the D Trail where the two clubs meet, just west of Massey.
