The Royal Canadian Legion’s National Poppy Campaign is set to launch tomorrow across the country.
Dominion President, Berkley Lawrence says they are grateful to the many donors every year whose generosity allows them to serve the veterans community.
Locally, both the Massey and Espanola branches are looking for volunteers to sell poppies over the 11 days of the campaign.
Anyone wishing to do so, are asked to contact their local branch.
The campaign runs until Remembrance Day, November 11th with the laying of wreaths and commemoration ceremonies throughout the day.
Funds raised from the Poppy Fund are used for a variety of services and programs geared to assist veterans, their families, and the wider community.
