College strike – Espanola campus is closed, Little Current and main campus open

The Espanola satellite campus of Cambrian College is closed due to strike action.
According to the release, there is no support staff available in Espanola, but since there is a part-time worker at the Little Current satellite campus, it is open.
The main campus in Sudbury is open although there could be possible delays or disruptions in service due to the strike action.
Picket lines are also up at Canadore College in North Bay, and several Collège Boréal campuses across Northeastern Ontario and the 21 other colleges across Ontario.
On August 21st, the bargaining team representing over 10,000 full-time college support workers, including librarians, bookstore, and registrar employees, requested a no board report, a measure that put the workers in the legal strike position.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the College Employer Council (CEC) have been negotiating the contracts, which are expired on September 1st, since June.
