Man extradited and charged in connection to fatal fire in Huron Shores

A fourth person has been arrested, extradited to Canada and charged in connection with a fatal residential fire investigation in Huron Shores.
East Algoma OPP says a 33-year-old man from Ottawa was arrested in Germany and is now in police custody, charged with first degree murder and two counts of arson-related charges.
The OPP was called in to a suspicious fire involving a residence and a vehicle on Mississagi Bay Road in Huron Shores back in February of 2023.
Inside the residence, the remains of 51-year-old Dwayne Kozuck (CO-shuck) were discovered, and it was later determined the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Three other suspects were all arrested and charged with arson-related charges with one of them also facing a first-degree murder charge.
