September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais and his council will be on hand for the official proclamation that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The signing of the proclamation and the raising of the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer flag will take place at ten am at municipal hall on Thursday, September 11th.
The Moose 99.3 FM CJJM is hosting its Fourth ‘Heart of Gold’ Radiothon on Friday, September 19th from 10 am to 2 pm at the studio at 90 Gray Street in Espanola to raise funds for the organization.
FreshCo is also assisting with a raffle for a basket full of goodies for a $5 donation September 8,9, and10th, and The Beer Store is collecting empties all month long, just tell them it is for the kids.
The funds raised will be presented at the Gold Soiree on Saturday, September 27th in Sudbury.
