Cameco’s Blind River Refinery partnered with The Town of Blind River to fund a new ice edger through its community investment fund.
According to the joint release, the piece of equipment is vital to operations, as users regularly access the Blind River Community Centre.
General manager of the Blind River Refinery Terry Davis says the donation helps ensure that children and all ice users have a quality finished ice surface to practice their skills.
Mayor Sally Hagman adds the town thanks Cameco as the municipality works diligently to sustain the facility for the next 40+ years.
