The Elliot Lake Fire Department responded to a residential fire in Elliot Lake on Tuesday.
Fire Chief John Thomas says the department was called out to a residence on Amsterdam Road and had it out within minutes causing minimal damage to the home.
He says the fire was contained in the area of origin, was accidental in nature and there were no injuries.
Thomas adds the damage is estimated at around $5,000.
