With around 70 skaters ranging from three to 15 years of age, the Espanola Figure Skating Club is hard to work preparing for their upcoming annual skating carnival.
According to the release, this year’s theme is ‘It Is Time’.
Head Coach Kelly Paradis is getting the show together with the help of two Junior Coaches, Delayna Rantanen and Leah Emiry hosting classes twice a week.
With registration fees on the rise, the skaters were especially pleased to receive a $6,000 cheque from the Espanola Lions Catch the Ace, which will towards offsetting fees, insurance and other costs associated with competing with Skate Canada, testing the members and hosting the show.
The show will be held later this Spring.
