Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign underway

Tim Horton franchises across Canada have begun their annual Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign to raise funds for local causes including the five franchises in our coverage area.
The Espanola and McKerrow locations are raising funds for the Espanola Hospital Foundation for the new cardiac monitoring system.
In Elliot Lake, the funds will be split 50/50 with the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation and the Elliot Lake Lions Club who will in turn, donate the proceeds to the children’s telethon, food bank and the Smile Zone at the hospital.
Blind River is donating their proceeds to the Blind River Public Library for new equipment and resources and the franchise in Little Current has the Little Current Lions Club spearheading the initiative to share the proceeds with Island support services.
Volunteers will be busy all this week icing thousands of cookies that will be sold with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the campaign.
