The Rainbow District School Board and the union representing Designated Early Childhood Educators in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island have reached a tentative agreement at the local level.
Board Chair David Farrow says the educators are represented by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario who engage students in learning activities in Kindergarten classrooms in partnership with teachers.
He says the new deal, once ratified, will be in retroactive from September 1st, 2022 to August 31st, 2026, aligning with settlements at the provincial level.
Ratification meetings will be held over the next couple of weeks.
