Very little information is being released about how an underground miner died Tuesday in Sudbury after being hit with equipment. The miner has been identified as Richard Pigeau. No other information has been released about the victim. The Ministry of Labour has an engineer and an electrical – mechanical inspector examining the accident scene. The deadly accident took place at Glencore’s Nickel Rim South Mine and the mine remains closed.
