VISTA Radio growing in Canada

As of this Monday, Vista Radio has grown by three more radio stations and two digital news portals. Vista made the announcement last fall regarding an agreement to purchase CAB-K Broadcasting pending CRTC approval.

President Bryan Edwards says those stations have officially become part of the company; two stations in Olds, Alberta and a third in Vegreville Alberta.

He adds this will now take Vista’s independent network to 51 radio stations and 40 digital properties in three provinces and the Northwest Territories including the Moose stations in Elliot Lake and Espanola.

He says the passion and commitment to local programming and local service is the cornerstone to Vista’s success and the reason why the company can continue to grow.

Pending CRTC approval, Vista Radio also will be acquiring 21 additional radio stations with the proposed acquisition of select Bell Media properties in British Columbia, making the broadcaster one of Canada’s largest.

Every Vista station proudly serves its community with entertainment and locally  generated relevant content emphasizing information that impacts the local audience – news, weather, road reports and events. A core operating principle for Vista is that the stations and local websites be accessible and approachable to listeners and readers, both in the content they deliver and how the stations and sites operate.
