Bike rodeo planned for the Spring for North Shore

The LaCloche Foothills Community Safety and Well-Being Plan includes a bike rodeo for the Spring of 2024.

Susanne Cassidy, the Community Health Navigator, says the partners were pleased with the excellent turnout for a rodeo held in Espanola in early summer.

She says to expand on that success, they are looking for 20- and 24-inch wheel bikes and senior trikes for youth up to the age of 12.

Cassidy adds they will be organizing a Bike Exchange across the LaCloche Foothills region, so they are gathering inventory until November 15th to be ready for the Spring once people want to hit the bike trails once again.

She says bikes can be dropped off at either the Massey Arena or Espanola Regional Recreation Complex during business hours.

Cassidy says they also welcome sponsor, Sessions – the Rolling Circus of Sudbury, who are also supporting the initiative.
