Creative writing and visual art submissions sought from across the North

Eighteen- to 30-year-old creative writers or artists are being sought by a Northern Ontario publisher to engage in a unique new book.

Latitude 46 Publishing of Sudbury is looking for poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual art submissions for an upcoming anthology titled A Thousand Tiny Awakenings.

Editors and poets Connor Lafortune, a recent graduate from Nipissing University, and a citizen of Dokis First Nation along with Lindsay Mayhew, a recent graduate from Laurentian University are working with Latitude 46 Publishing on the project.

Officials say the theme is breaking oppressive boundaries – and will offer readers a glimpse into how a new generation perceives the world and how they are using their own power to shape the future.
