EHS caps off successful track and field season

Four members of the Espanola High School Spartans Track and Field team returned from a successful OFSAA Track and Field Championship meet in Ottawa this weekend.

Hope Brohart finished 10th in Ontario in the Senior Girls Javelin with a best throw of 32.17 meters.

Her brother Michael Brohart threw a personal best throw of 33.70 meters to finish in 12th in Novice Boys Discus.

On the track, Micah Jacques ran a personal best in the Senior Boys 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.12 and Regan Houle earned a personal best in the Junior Boys 300-meter hurdles in 45.13 seconds and competed in the 1500 meters finishing in 4:33.00.

The Ontario finals are the highest level of sports possible in secondary school.
