Motorists are asked to be extra vigilant when travelling on Old Nairn Road.
Huron Central Railway has issued a notice that a new railway safety flash has been installed on the roadway.
The company’s Health & Safety Department states the flash signage makes it clear that motorists should be prepared to stop when lights are flashing to ensure safety for motorists and rail workers.
The notice also emphasizes the new stop will be enforced by company staff, OPP, Interfor, and the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
It’s the rail line’s main stop which provides freight service to the Interfor Sawmill located in Nairn Centre.
