A young person is being charged with multiple offences after stealing a vehicle and refusing to stop for Manitoulin OPP.
Constable Jessica Gilbertson says Sunday evening, police responded to a call that a young person has pulled a fire alarm at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current and then fled the scene.
She says the person then stole a vehicle and fled from the police but was finally stopped with no injuries.
Gilbertson says a 15-year-old from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory has been charged with assault, theft and dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police and a false fire alarm.
She adds the youth is to appear in Gore Bay court at a later date.
