Manitoulin OPP officers, auxiliary and other volunteers were all on hand last Friday for the Stuff-a-Cruiser event at the Mindemoya Foodland.
Constable John Hill says it was a great day raising $1,459 in cash and filling two cruisers and the OPP truck 1.5 times.
Central Manitoulin Public School came by and donated over $130 in food as well.
He adds auxiliaries and firefighters were also at Orr’s Valu-Mart in Little Current on Friday in support of the annual Food and Clothing Drive.
Hill adds all the donations will be delivered to Manitoulin Family Resources in time for the Christmas holidays.
