Manitoulin OPP has charged an Espanola youth with dangerous driving following an incident where a child was nearly hit by an ATV.
Constable Tessa Kasch says on Tuesday evening, officers responded to an incident at the Red McCarthy Memorial Ball Fields where an individual on an all-terrain vehicle drove through a soccer field and almost hit a child.
She says officers patrolled the area and located the ATV on Centre Street, identified the driver and arrested the individual.
Kasch says the 15-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving and is to appear in Espanola court on August 8th.
