East Algoma OPP investigating a fail to remain collision

East Algoma OPP is looking for a vehicle involved in a collision with a fence.

Constable Bev Gauthier says last Thursday, police responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred sometime overnight in Blind River.

She says the investigation determined a vehicle was northbound on Woodward Avenue and went off the road, colliding into a wrought iron fence at the corner of Woodward Ave and Park Street.

She says the suspect vehicle left the scene leaving behind debris that is believed to be from a 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee, black in colour or could have a black bumper.

Gauthier adds the suspect vehicle will have damage to the right front corner and damage to the front wheel well area as well.

Anyone having information can either call their nearest police service or Crime Stoppers.

Should you wish to remain anonymous; you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
