A person charged with arson after disturbance call
East Algoma OPP has charged an Elliot Lake man with arson.
Constable Phil Young says just before midnight on March 22, officers were called to a disturbance at an apartment complex on Dunn Road in Elliot Lake.
He says the complainant reported having their door kicked and pepper spray deployed in the hallway. Young adds police attended the scene but were unable to locate the suspects.
Young says around three hours later, police were called back to the same location in relation to a fire with the complainant saying they recognized one of the suspects.
He says local firefighters extinguished the blaze and police attended an apartment and arrested a 29-year-old man from Elliot Lake.
Young says the man has been charged with arson and breach.
