The Greater Sudbury Police Services Board has selected Sara Cunningham as the next Deputy Chief of Police.
Police Chief Paul Pedersen says Inspector Cunningham’s 24 years of experience with the service has made her well-equipped to assume this position
Cunningham says she is honoured and as an inspector, she was entrusted with many high-level projects including introducing the Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team in partnership with the local hospital.
She adds she is looking forward to continuing to build on the success of the program and to spearheading other initiatives in her new role.
She will be formally sworn in this coming Monday.
