Town of Blind River staff is completing the application process to fund thousands of dollars in improvements in recreational facilities.
Council has directed staff to put together a proposal applying for a $580,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for the improvements.
CAO clerk Katie Scott says some of the improvements include upgrading tennis courts, relocating a basketball court, and maximizing access to a baseball field.
She adds the grant must be submitted by September 29th to be considered by the Ontario government.
