An individual struck and killed by a vehicle in Espanola has now been identified.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says just before 1am on Sunday morning, officers responded to a report of a person walking on the road on Highway Six, just north of the bridge in Espanola.
Police arrived on the scene to find the person deceased on the southbound lane of Highway Six who has been identified as 18-year-old Sky Sagassige (SAW-gaw-sig-gay) of Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
Gauthier says the investigation is continuing and anyone with any information is asked to call Manitoulin OPP or Crimestoppers.
