Laurentian University is planning a return to the classroom this fall.
Laurentian president Robert Haché says a detailed plan will be released at today’s Laurentian Senate meeting.
He says the institution will follow the best public health advice while ensuring that students and staff are safe when classes resume in September.
He admits there are challenges when it comes to international students, but plans will be firmed up over the summer, which may also include a blend of in-person and virtual learning.
Haché adds although some Ontario universities are requiring people living in residence to be vaccinated against the virus, the university is not making that requirement at this time.
