A look at local COVID-19 numbers in the three districts

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 in the Greater Sudbury area.

The agency states they are all close contact of a confirmed case.

The unit also removed the outbreak status at two city schools with classes resuming at both Marymount Academy and Pius XII (12th) Catholic Elementary School yesterday after they were suspended earlier this week due to the virus.

Considering resolved cases, there are now 82 active cases in the agency’s jurisdiction.

Health Sciences North is reporting they have 14 admitted patients at the hospital with none in intensive care.

The hospital says there are seven confirmed cases, and they are waiting for the results of testing for nine others.

Algoma Public Health is reporting five new cases today, two are due to close contact, the other three unknown.

Considering resolved cases, there are now 15 active cases in the Algoma District.
