CND graduate honoured for volunteer work

One of the 2020 graduates of the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon school board has been presented with a prestigious award recognizing her volunteer work.

School board communications director Paul de la Riva says Vanessa Sauvé, a graduate of Collège Notre-Dame in Sudbury has been presented with the Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award.

He says Sauvé, who graduated this June, was presented with a letter, certificate and pin from Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell for completing close to 1,300 community volunteer hours.

He says the recognition acknowledges students who go above and beyond when it comes to volunteering, not only at school but in the community at large.
