Graduation moves to the fall for Espanola High

Espanola High School graduates will not be hosting a virtual graduation this month.
Rather, they will host a full graduation exercise this fall.
EHS principal Christina Rivard says all schools in the Rainbow District School Board have decided to do
the same.
She says students of Espanola High were polled and 88% of them indicated they want a face-to-face
graduation instead of a virtual celebration.
She adds they have a special plan in place to recognize the graduates on June 25th, the original date for
the ceremony.
Rivards adds teachers are in the process of calling students for lockers to be cleaned out this Friday and
next Tuesday.
The school will be opened during the day to allow for students to pick up their belongings while following COVID-19 protocols.
