Mask Challenge going well at HSN

A partnership between Health Sciences North and Sudbury Steam Cleaners is assisting patients and visitors alike at the hospital.
Communications spokesperson Jason Turnbull says they partnered with the business in early April to host the HSN Mask Challenge asking for the public across the northeast to make as many cloth face masks as possible.
He says they have received over 1,100 home-made cloth masks so far and handed out about 950 to visitors and patients going home.
Turnbull adds Sudbury Steam Cleaners is handling the sterilization of the masks, so everyone who is donating is asked to drop them off there and not at the hospital.
The cloth masks can be dropped off at Sudbury Steam Cleaners at 210 Walnut St., between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, in the covered bin labelled “Donated Masks Drop Off” outside of the front depot entrance.
Masks cannot be dropped off at HSN.
HSN asks that you put your sewn cloth masks in a plastic bag along with your name, mailing address, email address and phone number. Providing your contact information is optional and will be used by the Foundations at Health Science North to say thank you for participating in the HSN Mask Challenge and share updates on our progress.
