Prank 911 calls worry police

OPP in Sault Ste. Marie are looking for whoever is making fake 911 calls.  Police have been hit with a rash of prank calls resulting in non emergency responses.  Police say each call has people laughing in the background when the dispatcher picks up.  The calls are originating in Echo Bay and the Sault.  In the case of Echo Bay, police say the calls are occurring within an 11 kilometre radius of a cell tower.   The prank calls are worrisome for police who say time wasted on fake calls could result in delays getting to a real emergency.
