Two domestic disputes result in arrests

Two separate domestic disputes led to arrests in Espanola.

On November 10, officers from the Manitoulin OPP along with the assistance of the Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to the first domestic dispute. A 39-year-old man from Espanola was arrested and charged with assault.

The second incident happened on November 11 when the Manitoulin OPP responded to another dispute. As a result, a 26-year-old man from Espanola has been arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm

Both men will appear before the Espanola Courthouse.
