A train derailment in Northern Ontario is being raised as a matter of concern in the House of Commons by the NDP. Nickel Belt MP Claude Gravelle says the derailment near Gogama resulted in an oil spill. Although it was contained and no oil got into surrounding waterways, Gravelle says nearby residents are still worried. The CN train was pulling about 100 cars during the weekend when 29 cars came off the rack and seven of them caught fire.
