Slowing down in road construction zones is not only smart, it is the law.
The Ontario Provincial Police say they are already running into problems with people not slowing down in construction zones.
For example, they are increasing their patrols in the Coniston area because of complaints of speeding motorists.
Fines for speeding in a construction zone are doubled.
Police point out the safety of the workers on site and the safety of motorists are the priorities.
