STUDENTS PROTEST

They were loud and proud.
Students from Espanola High, Ecole Franco Ouest and schools in Elliot Lake joined their counterparts at hundreds of other schools in Espanola to protest the changes to education by the Ford government.
Algoma-Manitoulin MPP, Mike Mantha, was in Espanola to cheer on the students.
A message was also sent by MP Carol Hughes and Heather Wilson, who is running for nomination for the Liberals for the upcoming federal election, also had a few words of support to share.
Students talked about how the cuts will affect them and want the Ford government to take another look at the changes.
Dennis Lendrum was also there to talk about autism and the programming and funding changes that are affecting children in the spectrum, especially as it relates to education.
