If a new piece of legislation makes it through Queen’s Park, it could change up things dramatically for individuals, as well as corporations and manufacturers.
The NDP has authored a bill to ban single-use, throw away plastics, and will reveal its plan this week.
Ian Arthur, the NDP critic for Environment and Sustainability, says landfills are piled high with plastic garbage and, corporations and manufacturers are required to do their part.
Arthur said tackling the epidemic of single-use, throw-away plastics should be the first step in a complete waste reduction plan.
