Flooding at West entrance of Four-Lane – Highway 17

Motorists should be cautious travelling onto the four-lane from the west end this morning.

Greater Sudbury crews are on site to clear some flooding just underneath the rail bridge at the west entrance of the four-lane near Sudbury.

The flooding can be dangerous for motorists.

Also, be aware there are white out conditions on parts of Manitoulin Island. The Plummer Additional Township says due to extreme winter weather and drifting, numerous roads are impassable including so far: Braniff, and Caribou south between Plummer and plow turnaround. Travel is not advised, but if you have to travel please do so with caution.
