Patients and residents of the Acute Care and Long-Term Care units of the NorthShore Health Network Blind River site were evacuated over the weekend until snow and ice is removed off the roof.
Education & Safety Coordinator, Melanie Kubatlija, says it is not known how long the partial evacuation will last.
She adds emergency services are still available and the Emergency Department remains open during the evacuation.
All appointments in the Outpatient Laboratory, Medical Imaging and Physiotherapy departments have been cancelled this week and there will be no outpatient services provided until further notice.
Work is underway to clear the roof of snow and ice obstructions.
