Blind River needs to rent a snow plow

The Town of Blind River has to rent a plow truck at $2,000 per week for about two weeks.

CAO Kathryn Scott told the town council a new truck was to be delivered at the beginning of December, but there was a delay in acquiring the plow wing from the manufacturer.

She stressed the liability of not having two plow trucks available to maintain the current level of service could be a heavy one to the municipality.

Scott says an agreement for a rental has been reached with Beamish Construction with enough money in the public works budget to cover the cost.
