Look for plenty of green and white with hundreds of French Catholic students, staff and parents celebrating Franco-Ontarian Day.
Four years ago, the Ontario government declared September 25th as Franco-Ontarian Day – a day to officially recognize the contribution of Ontario’s Francophone community.
Franco-Ouest and St. Joseph students in Espanola will march around the neighborhood followed by a flag-raising ceremony at École Saint-Joseph at 10am.
Meanwhile, this will be the first time the Franco-Ontarian flag is raised in Blind River.
Students at Saint-Joseph and Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River will take part in a flag-raising ceremony at the Blind River Visitor Information Center at 9:40am this morning.
