As nurses in Timmins begin losing their jobs, the leader of the NDP wants to know what other health services cuts the Liberals have in mind. Forty nurses at the Timmins and District Hospital have been told they’ll be out of work plus the hospital is losing 26 beds. NDP leader Andrea Horwath wants the Liberals to tell the public have many more firings will take place in health and education. Horwath says in the last election, voters rejected the Progressive Conservative plan to cut 100,000 jobs but now the Liberals are doing just that.
