As a 39-year-old Wiki man continues to recover from life-threatening injuries, Island police have laid more charges against those behind the attack. Charges of attempted murder have been laid against a 26-year-old Toronto man and 23-year-old man from Pickering. Both are also charged with assault with a weapon and several drug-related charges. UCCM police also charged a Sudbury woman and another woman from Scarborough with drug-related offenses including conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance. The assault took place during the early morning hours of May 9th on the reserve. The accused took off but the UCCM police caught them shortly after the incident.
