Lions launch senior ski program

The Espanola Lions Club is pleased once again to sponsor free skiing for local Seniors 50+ at Boogie Mountain. There will be a few changes because of COVID. The hill will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00. You are required to phone ahead and also to indicate whether you need rentals. Rentals and your tow pass are free. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at Espanola Legion

Can you taste it? Delicious Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser at the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39. Will be available for pick up only on Friday, February 26th. Funds go towards supporting the Legion's ongoing programs.

Volunteers are busy these days packing up gift bags of bunnies and treats for the children in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township. Register your child for a free treat for Easter with Brian Channon by either messaging him on Facebook or call 705-507-1749. Espanola Lions Club TV BINGO

The Espanola Lions CLub hosts their TV BINGO in Espanola every Wednesday. Cards are sold at local businesses throughout Espanola and the North Shore corridor. Games are televised on Eastlink every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. It is also streamed on YouTube (go to www.espanolalionsclub.ca and follow the TV Bingo link) All proceeds go towards local charitable causes.

Remembering Charisse – tombstone and billboard unveiling tomorrow in Sagamok

Charlene Ann Owl’s daughter, Charisse, died in November from an overdose. A mother of four children, she was only 28. Charlene announced a $2,000 reward earlier this month for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual that sold the heroin, which led to her death.
